"St. Georgs-Kolleg"

St. George’s Austrian High School and Trade School (German: Österreichisches Sankt Georgs-Kolleg und Handelsakademie) is a private Austrian-Turkish high school in Istanbul. It is one of eight österreichische Auslandsschulen worldwide, and the oldest out of all of them.

The school, which was founded in 1882, is today located in İstanbul’s historic Karaköy quarter. Originally a school for the German-speaking peoples in the Ottoman Empire, the school evolved into a school attended mainly by Turkish-speaking pupils, still considered a prestigious school by many.

A more detailed history of the school is available here in Turkish or here in German.
